Compartment 2, the smallest, is for fabric softener. The rightmost compartment is only used occasionally or for heavily soiled laundry; this is where you add detergent for the pre-wash.

Please make sure you have selected the correct program. Otherwise, it's best to empty the lint filter after each drying cycle. If this doesn't help and you have a condenser dryer, please empty the water tank.

Large household appliances - Microwave

Using the microwave without the turntable, plate and rolling ring is not recommended, as this leads to uneven heating.

Fill a suitable bowl with water and add a sliced lemon. Then heat it in the microwave on high for about 5 minutes. Finally, wipe the inside of the microwave with a soft cloth and a little dish soap. Dry the microwave completely afterwards.

Please refer to the instructions in the user manual. You can also download the user manual from the respective product page or from our service page on our website.

Microwaves only penetrate 2-3 cm into the food. Depending on the type of food, the heat is distributed more or less evenly. Stir once or several times while heating and let the food stand for 2-3 minutes after heating to ensure better heat distribution.

Large household appliances - Cooking & Baking

It's perfectly normal for the oven fan to continue running for a while after the oven has been switched off. This helps the oven cool its electrical components and remove condensation. It will stop automatically once the oven has cooled down sufficiently.

Ideally, clean the oven after each use. Always allow the oven to cool completely before cleaning. Check the suitability of any special cleaning products beforehand.

Please clean the door windows as described in the operating instructions.

Large household appliances - Refrigeration & Freezing

If your appliance was transported lying down or not stored upright within the last day, leave it upright for at least 24 hours. This ensures that there is enough refrigerant in the compressor and that it is not damaged by running dry. For further instructions, please refer to the user manual, which you can also find on our product pages.

Check the back wall of your appliance's refrigerator compartment to see if the drain for the defrost fluid is blocked.

Check the location where you have placed the appliance. All cooling appliances are classified into climate classes, which you can find in the product data sheet, your instruction manual, or on the product page at www.exquisit.de. These classes indicate the maximum permissible ambient temperature at the installation location.

During the cooling process, the refrigerant circulates within the cooling system. This causes operating noises, such as gurgling, hissing, or humming. Depending on the operating level of the unit, these noises occur more frequently or can be louder.

This depends on the fill level, the temperature at the installation location, and how often the appliance is opened. In an environment where the appliance door is frequently opened, a higher setting is generally required than, for example, in a private household with only two people.

This could be due to impurities inside the appliance. Please also check the drain of your refrigerator when cleaning. These impurities can collect there. To neutralize the odor, you can clean your appliance with a mild detergent and pour some of it down the drain. The frozen food is stuck to the appliance.

Solution: Loosen the frozen food with a blunt object. Be careful not to damage the appliance.

We recommend setting the refrigerator to cooling level 3 when the ambient temperature is between 15°C and 25°C. Higher temperatures require more cooling, lower temperatures allow for a lower cooling level.

Inside the device there is a type plate for precise model identification.

First, make sure the door is properly closed. Then, ensure the products are chilled before placing them in the refrigerator, and open the door as little as possible.

First, remove all food and store it in a cool place. Place some dry towels inside the appliance to absorb any remaining water. Once the refrigerator has defrosted, dry the interior thoroughly.

Small household appliances - Portable air conditioners

The window gap must be properly sealed to prevent warm outside air from entering the room. For simple and flexible sealing, we offer the HAS-01 window seal, which can be purchased online or from specialist retailers.

To ensure efficient cooling of the room air, proper sealing of the room is necessary. Due to the way our air conditioners work, air is continuously drawn in; if this air is also very warm, the cooling effect in the room will be less noticeable. Furthermore, it is important to ensure that an air conditioner appropriate for the room size is used.

Condensation is completely normal and indicates that your appliance is functioning correctly. Some models require periodic emptying of the water tank; this is indicated by a warning light. If water continues to leak, check that the rubber stopper on the back of the appliance is properly seated. Check that the exhaust hose is securely attached and for any damage.
For optimal performance, the appliance must be level.

Small household appliances - Air conditioners

Maintain a distance of 50 cm from other objects, including curtains and walls. Do not use propellant-filled aerosol cans such as deodorants or paints nearby.

Before performing any maintenance or cleaning, you must disconnect the fan from the power supply. You can clean the unit with a slightly damp cloth. Do not allow water to enter the unit. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the front grille. Do not use abrasive products, as they may scratch the unit.

Yes. Warmth and humidity are crucial factors for mold growth. Dehumidifiers are designed to remove excess moisture from the air.

You can wipe the device with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use harsh cleaners, brushes, or abrasive sponges. Remove residue from the ventilation slots with a soft brush. Please refer to the instruction manual for further cleaning details.

Small household appliances - vacuuming

The dust bag can be disposed of with household waste. Make sure that the bag is not damaged by other waste, which could cause dust to escape.

The HEPA filter is washable. It only needs to be replaced when it is heavily soiled and can no longer be cleaned, or when the suction power noticeably decreases.

The first option is to change the dust bag. Check the fill level of the dust bag and replace it if necessary. Another option is to clean the filter.

Use the wall mount with integrated power supply for this purpose. This way, your cordless vacuum cleaner is always within easy reach and ready for use. If you are not going to use the device for an extended period of time, it is recommended to disconnect the power supply to conserve the battery.

Small household appliances - Hair care

A diffuser offers several functions! It protects your hair from direct heat, gives straight hair more volume, and creates more beautiful waves or curls in curly hair.

The styling nozzle allows you to focus the airflow of your hairdryer and thus style individual sections of hair in a targeted manner.

The ion function offers several advantages: Positively charged ions neutralize static electricity, making hair more elastic and curls easier to style. Since dust and other particles cannot adhere to the hair, it also gives it more shine.

Hair dryers are easy to care for: Regularly remove hair and dust from the rear protective grille. You can wipe the hair dryer with a damp cloth. IMPORTANT: Unplug the device before cleaning it. Do not use alcohol or immerse the device in water.

The overheating protection on your hairdryer has been activated. Clean any residue from the rear protective grille. Now allow the device some time to cool down.

Small household appliances - Breakfast

Aside from commercial descalers, you can also descale your egg cooker with home remedies. Mix vinegar essence or citric acid with water in a 1:1 ratio and run the appliance through the solution once. Afterwards, rinse the egg cooker thoroughly and run it through twice with water.

Then rinse the egg cooker and then run it through twice with just water.

Excessive calcium deposits can manifest themselves through one of the following symptoms:

  • The throughput time has increased
  • Increased steam production and noise during the brewing process
  • different taste

We recommend descaling your coffee machine immediately if any of the above points apply. Delaying this for too long could lead to limescale buildup and cause the machine to malfunction. Descalers based on milk or citric acid are particularly suitable for gentle cleaning; regular descaling will extend the lifespan of your coffee machine.

Paper filters sometimes stick together. Make sure you only use one filter at a time. If you are using a permanent filter, please do not use additional paper filters.

Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely. Then remove any dirt and clean the heating plate with dish soap or kitchen cleaner. IMPORTANT: Do not use harsh cleaning agents such as scouring powder, solvents, or gasoline. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

No, the toaster is designed exclusively for bread. Do not use it for other foods.

Unplug the toaster and wait until it has cooled completely before storing or cleaning it. You can now wipe the outside of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth or sponge and a little dish soap, then dry it. Remove the crumb tray and clean it with a damp cloth. The toaster is not dishwasher safe. Never immerse it in water or other liquids. Never use harsh cleaners or metal utensils for cleaning.

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down to avoid burning yourself on the heating elements. Now try to remove the bread.

Do not use the appliance if the toaster has been dropped, shows visible damage, or is clearly defective. Also, refrain from using it if the power cord shows visible damage. Take your toaster to a qualified technician for repair – this will prevent accidents.

We recommend descaling as soon as you notice limescale deposits. Regular descaling increases the lifespan of your appliance.

Unplug the kettle and let it cool down. Use only clean, soft cloths to avoid damaging the appliance's surface. Rinse the limescale filter regularly. For descaling, we recommend using vinegar or citric acid.

A common cause of this is limescale buildup: Refer to the instruction manual and descale your kettle regularly. If your kettle is free of residue, you may have filled it with too little water. Ensure that the heating element is covered with water; otherwise, the safety shut-off will activate.

Plastic parts should not be exposed to sunlight, as they may fade.

You may have overfilled the kettle. When boiling, water can overflow the rim or the opening. Be sure to check the maximum fill line when filling the kettle. Depending on the model, condensation may also drip from the lid onto your work surface.

The iron content of the water varies regionally. Water with a high iron content can cause the natural limescale deposits in the kettle to turn brown or black.

Small household appliances - kitchen appliances

No, this is not necessary. The appliance is equipped with a high-quality non-stick coating that prevents bread from sticking. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp metal objects for cleaning, as these can damage the coating.

Apart from the motor unit, all parts are dishwasher safe.

Before first use, you should rinse all parts that come into contact with food. The motor unit must not be rinsed; you can clean it with a damp cloth.

With your immersion blender, you can prepare sauces, dips, baby food, soups, milkshakes, or mixed drinks, for example. Pay attention to the maximum operating time (in minutes) on the rating plate.

The pulse function allows you to perform short mixing bursts to achieve optimal mixing results with the desired consistency.

Non-stick coated appliances have a delicate surface that can be easily scratched by sharp objects (especially metal ones), causing them to lose their functionality. Therefore, always use kitchen utensils made of plastic or wood with rounded edges.

The machine was filled with too much dough. Reduce the amount of dough.

Let the blade do the work and don't apply excessive pressure. You can achieve particularly thin slices with cold or hard foods. Please note that our slicers are not designed for frozen foods.

Regular cleaning prevents the build-up of perishable food residue. Refer to the instruction manual for instructions on how to remove the blade. Clean the blade thoroughly in warm soapy water. Do not put the blade in the dishwasher. After each use, wipe the blade with a damp cloth.
