These textiles belong in the tumble dryer
You should only put clothes suitable for tumble drying in the dryer. These include:
✅ Cotton : Ideal for towels, bed linen and cotton clothing.
✅ Synthetic fabrics : Sportswear and synthetic shirts are often suitable.
✅ Jeans : These can be tumble dried, but preferably at a low temperature.
✅ Towels : All types of towels are suitable for the dryer.
✅ Underwear : Cotton or synthetic underwear can be dried without any problems.
✅Down comforters and pillows : These should even be tumble dried to keep the down fluffy.
Which textiles should you not put in the dryer?
There are some textiles that you should not put in the tumble dryer:
❎ Delicate fabrics : Silk, wool (except with special programs), cashmere and viscose are sensitive to heat.
❎ Leather or imitation leather : These materials can be damaged by the heat.
❎ Waterproof textiles : These should not be tumble dried, as the water-repellent coating could be affected.
❎ Shoes : As a rule, shoes should not be dried in the dryer unless there are special programs or devices.
❎ Items made of rubber or foam rubber : These can melt or deform and pose a fire hazard.
Tips for using the tumble dryer
Preparing the laundry:
Empty pockets: Remove all items from the pockets, especially lighters and matches.
Close zippers: Close zippers and buttons to prevent damage.
Sorting:
Sort the laundry according to fabric type and drying program.
Loading the dryer:
Spin-spun laundry: Use only spin-spun laundry (at least 800 rpm). Do not overload the drum: The maximum load must not be exceeded to avoid uneven drying and creasing.
Program selection:
Choose the appropriate program: Select the program according to the type of fabric (e.g., cotton, synthetics).

Pay attention to the care labels
You should always check the care labels on your clothes. These will tell you whether a garment can be tumble dried
- A square with a circle inside indicates that the garment is suitable for tumble drying.
- One point in the circle: Gentle drying at low temperature (below 60 °C).
- Two dots in a circle: Normal drying at medium temperature (up to 80 °C).
- Crossed-out symbol: Not suitable for tumble drying.
